Tra Su Sanctuary

A haven of exuberant wildlife, the flooded forests of Tra Su Sanctuary are an impressive sight as far as natural wonders go. The area covers over 2,000 acres about 20 kilometers from Chau Doc. It contains more than 70 bird species. Come in the wet season from June to November, and you will find the greenery of the forests indistinguishable from the waterways. A layer of duckweed, lichen, and fragrant water lilies cover the surface in a rejuvenating abundance. It is also when the site is most popular among travelers since the water reaches the perfect level for boat tours.

Deep in the meandering canals, you will be stimulated almost every five minutes. Not every species dwells on the trees. But, there is an observation tower right outside the wetlands. From there, you can watch birds land on their roosts. Starlings, storks, and herons come in flocks, giving way to excellent opportunities for photography.

Tra Su Sanctuary is where the wild nature of Vietnam is most happening. It evokes invigorating feelings at once with a lofty viewpoint. Gaze towards the other side, and the lush Vietnamese countryside will provide you with the most captivating scene in all of the country.
