Fair Travels

Travel Talk Fair Travels Protocols are designed for you to be able to make the most-informed decision about your travel plans. This is reflected in our unique itineraries, superior services and highly attractive prices.

Accommodation

We provide clear information on accommodation standards and quality. We specify the accommodation used on the tour each day by name, star rating and additional information with an image. We do not use unclear classifications such as “basic, tourist or comfort class hotels”. In case we use unique accommodation where a traditional star rating does not apply, i.e. Sahara camping, Ryokans, this is noted. Accommodation information can be found online on every tour page, listed under each day of the “Itinerary”, under the “Hotels” section and in the “Trip Notes”.
We specify the standards for cruises and gullets, availability of en-suite WC facilities and air-conditioning. We provide clear information regarding the room type i.e. standard/premium, upper/lower-deck, double/twin/bunk bed, where applicable.
We provide detailed information regarding unique accommodation such as Felucca boats used in Egypt, Sahara camp used in Morocco, sleeper trains and cabin types in Egypt and Russia, and other accommodation used across our destinations.

Sightseeing

We clearly list the sightseeing activities included on every tour, all the famous and hidden gems you get to see on your trip. We specify the type of sightseeing activity i.e. walking tour, guided tour or panoramic tour on the vehicle. Sightseeing activities can be found online on every tour page, listed under each day of the “Itinerary”, under the “Sights Visited on This Tour” section and in the “Trip Notes”.
Where entrance fees to sights are to be paid by the passengers, we specify the sights and the entrance fees. In case additional sightseeing activities are provided as optional activities – not included in the tour price, we clearly state these activities and the prices. This information can be found on every tour page under each day of the “Itinerary”, under the “Budgeting” section and in the “Trip Notes”.

Meals

Meals included in the tour price can be found online on every tour page, specified under each day of the “Itinerary”, and listed under the “Inclusions” section and in the “Trip Notes”.

Transportation

On every tour page online, we provide information regarding the means and standards of transportation used. We note the type and quality of vehicles, whether private or shared, air-conditioned and with access to facilities and amenities. Where we use alternative vehicles locally, we clarify the type and standard of transportation i.e. 4×4 jeep, train and cabin type, gullet. This information can be found on every tour page under “Inclusions” and in the “Trip Notes”.
We share the distances between the sites visited and the times of travel for each tour online. This information can be found on every tour page in the “Trip Notes”.
In case there is a limited baggage allowance, or it is recommended to pack a smaller bag for a portion of the trip, it is clearly noted under the “Inclusions” and in the “Trip Notes”.

Airport Transfer

Where any airport transfers are included, this is stated under the “Itinerary” and “Inclusions”, and in the “Trip Notes”. In case only an arrival departure is included, this is specified.
We provide detailed information about making your own way to the starting point even if airport transfers are included; how to get to the meeting point / arrival hotel from popular hubs by public transport or by taxi with the approximate costs and times. This information can be found online on every tour page in the “Trip Notes”.

Tour Leader

We specify if the tour includes a Tour Leader throughout the trip, and whether it is a local/native or international person, and licensed by the local authorities. This information can be found online on every tour page under “Inclusions” and in the “Trip Notes”.

Group Size & Age

We list the age requirements, and the minimum and maximum number of passengers for every tour online under the “Overview” section and in the “Trip Notes”.

Pricing

In dedication to fairness and transparency in our prices and services, we provide clear information online about the inclusions and exclusions of the tour price under the “Inclusions” section and in the “Trip Notes”.
On every tour page, the departure dates and their respective prices can be found under the “Dates & Rates” section, together with the start & end date, discount rate and availability.
Any mandatory fees required to partake on certain included activities, i.e. mandatory safari adventure pass in Africa, are stated together with the tour price.
We clearly state any extra fees to the tour price and what they are for, i.e. food fund, tipping kitty. This information can be found online on every tour page under the “Budgeting” section and in the “Trip Notes”.

Budgeting

We provide information regarding foreseen additional expenses to the tour price such as the entrance fees to sights, optional activity fees, approximate daily personal spending, tipping and shopping. These can be found online on every tour page under the “Budgeting” section and in the “Trip Notes”.
We also list the optional activity fees and the entrance fees to sights, which are not covered in the tour price, for all tours online under every day of the “Itinerary”.

Reviews

We publish real customer reviews from tour feedback forms, available online on every tour page under the “Reviews” section.
On the final day of all our tours, all passengers are handed out tour feedback forms for a detailed review of their experience with us. These forms are collected in sealed envelopes and sent to the Travel Talk office for evaluation and analysis. Passenger satisfaction ratings, and reviews, are then published on every tour page under the “Reviews” section, according to Accommodation, Transportation, Value for Money, Guide Services and Overall Satisfaction.

Essential Information

On every tour page online, we share detailed information about the tour and the country of visit in the “Trip Notes”.
You can find information on the trip details such as: tour overview, why you’ll love this tour, arriving details (meeting point, airport transfers, making your own way to the starting point, finishing point), highlights, itinerary, inclusions & exclusions, hotels & accommodation, distances, budgeting (entrance fees, optional activities, personal spending, shopping, opening hours).
Further essential information about the destination includes: passport & visas, travel advice, travel insurance, health & safety, weather, money matters, eating & drinking, internet access, essentials to bring, culture and traditions, religion-etiquette-how to dress, solo travellers, rules to follow, emergency contact, responsible travel.
The “Trip Notes” are also sent via email to passengers.
