Money Matters
The currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TRY). We recommend you go to the city center to change your money.
ATMs are available in central locations, but access is difficult in rural areas.
You can pay with USD and EUR in some shops, but deals in the local currency are always more favorable.
The Food Scene
Turkish cuisine is among the richest in the world. And breakfast is one of its most valued specialties.
Drinking tap water is not recommended in Turkey. Prefer bottled water.
Turkish coffee, Turkish delight, and meze (appetizers) are a must-try.
Solo Travel
Are you traveling alone? You can stay in a single room if your tour has the single supplement option.
You can also be roomed with a solo traveler of the same gender.

Gulet tours have an additional three-night blue cruise on a gulet. You will drop anchor at several of the crystal coves of the Mediterranean around Fethiye.

Ramadan is the Islamic holy month, during which Muslims fast from dawn until sunset. It is widely celebrated in Turkey.
