Rise and shine, it will be an early start for our optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the stunning landscapes and fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Or if preferred enjoy a leisurely start to the morning before we all fill up on breakfast. We will explore the UNESCO World Heritage listed Göreme, and tick off bucket list sights along the way including Göreme Musuem, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar and Cavusin. In the afternoon we will visit Derinkuyu Underground City, a city complete with a church, wells, food stores, and even stables which is all located 60m under the ground. We will continue our exploration with a visit to local handicraft manufacturers and learn about traditional art. Tonight get your dancing shoes on for our optional Turkish night.

This trip was truly a dream come true. Between the hot air balloon trip in Cappadocia, paragliding in Fethiye and visiting Gallipoli I cannot thing of just one highlight; the entire trip is full of adventures of a lifetime. My one regret for this trip is that I did not book it sooner! So if you’re out there reading this review I could not recommend the Turkey by land Travel Talk tour more highly. Our tour guide Mustafa went absolutely above and beyond and made everyone on the tour feel at home. Mustafa is an exceptionally knowledgeable man, full of information of the historical sites and providing a true local experience as we travelled across the countryside. I can’t wait to book my next trip!

The Best of Turkey by Land tour was an amazing experience, largely owing to our tour guide Aykut.
He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, adding incredible value over the course of the tour with his anecdotes, insight and personal stories – all communicated with a wonderful sense of humour.
Without Aykut we would not have had such an incredible tour, he went out of his way to show us local gems, the best places and things to eat, ensuring that we experienced the Turkish culture to the best of his ability.
He was also always ready to have a chat, answer questions and assist with issues, whether related to the tour or not.

A very entertaining and personable guide, Aykut has set a high bar for any future tours.
