1. Hoi An
Hoi An is truly a city fit for an oil painting. Originally a port town, Hoi An canvases history at every turn. Co-signed by UNESCO, it was announced a World Heritage Site in 1999. The irresistible streets of this riverside town will surprise and delight with each detail. Discover a slew of traditional lanterns prettily strung between colonial architecture, a Japanese bridge and affordable tailors.
A brief walk from the town will take you to the beach. An Bang seaside provides white strips of sand and turquoise water, with plenty of beach vendors to compliment your sun basking. After a relaxing day at the beach, the evening festivities can commence. Hoi An offers anything between cooking lessons, bar crawls and authentic Vietnamese eateries.
2. Da Nang
Da Nang is where nature meets the city. The division between lush greenery, glinting high rises and blue sea makes Da Nang all the more adventurous. From Bien Thanh Binh to My Khea beach, the clean waters of Da Nang afford swimming and various water sports.
Once you’re spent from beach activities, there is plenty to explore in the area. Enjoy epic views of the Da Nang coast from the Golden Bridge.
3. Nha Trang
Gorgeous beaches await you in Nha Trang. Located in the South central coast, the silver city skyline compliment the gorgeous clear waters and attractive opportunity for sun lounging.
In Nha Trang, you can split your time under the sun and exploring the city’s treasures. Whether that is discovering the giant white Buddha or relaxing in the hot spring and mud baths. Alternatively, you can hop in a taxi and taken to a waterfall trek.
4. Mui Ne
In the south east of Vietnam is the coastal town of Mui Ne. In close proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne the perfect getaway from city life. Classic Vietnamese boats rule the sealine and an amazing spiral of red sand dunes. It’s a great destination to sail, windsurf, kitesurf and more.
5. Phu Quoc
Vietnam’s southern island of Phu Quoc is the ideal tropical getaway. Speckled with luxury resorts, the island is also full of gifts from the natural world. Think dense jungles, waterfalls and, most importantly, gorgeous beaches. It’s other side brings cool bars, night markets and a bustling town. A range of water sports are enjoyed here and there are plenty of opportunities to catch some rays.
