Sights Visited on This Tour

Home of the Ajlun Castle built in 1184, the town has great examples of Islamic architecture. Ajlun Archaeological Museum has all sorts of artefacts from the region.

The modern and ancient capital of Jordan is one of the oldest inhabited cities. The city's modern buildings blend amazingly with the remnants of ancient civilizations.

Dead Sea is a 30 minute drive from Amman and you reach this unique spot in Jordan. It brings a sense of unreality to any traveler passing through.

Less than an hour drive from Amman takes you 2000 years back in time. Jerash hosts the best preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world.

The incredible Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is described as ‘one of the most precious cultural properties of mankind's cultural heritage'.

Shobak is a Crusader castle on the eastern side of the Arabah, perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain looking out over fruit trees below.

Absolutely stunning in its natural beauty, Wadi Rum summarizes the romance of the desert. You may meet some friendly Bedouins living close by.

We have just returned from Jordan on the ‘Essential Jordan Tour’ & had an amazing time.
Jordan desperately needs tourism, it is suffering terribly from the current situation across the border. We felt completely safe & at no time regretted our decision to go there.
Our guide Faizal was amazing. He had an extensive knowledge of Jordanian history & was keen to share it with us, along with his passion for his Country, we left enriched. He also assisted by checking on our comfort with the quality of our accommodation & ensured we had enough food, water etc. If you are allocated Faisal as your guide, you are very fortunate.
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, passport control took forever, meaning the Travel Talk driver, thought we weren’t on the flight, so had left. No problem, I simply rang the emergency number & he returned within half an hour.
We had a further issue with the itinerary, which Travel Talk dealt with swiftly & without question.
There will always be problems that crop up, it’s the way they’re dealt with that makes the difference. I considered Travel Talk dealt efficiently & effectively, with our issues.
There are several changes that should be made to this itinerary; the Camp in Wadi Rum is not Captains Cabin, as apparently this camp was letting customers down. Also, there are references to ‘Amphitheater’s’, which as Faizal pointed out, do not exist in Jordan, they are Theatre’s or Odean’s. This historical inaccuracy is annoying for travellers looking to learn from the experience & should be changed.
The hotel choices in Petra & Amman are good, offering a reasonable 4* level of accommodation. However, the camp in Wadi Rum, even being realistic to its location, would benefit from a deep clean, there were also no pillow or mattress protectors. In this respect, it needed to up its game, (due to this, I’ve only given accommodation 3* which is a little unfair to the lovely hotels). This didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Wadi Rum though, which was magical.
We were delighted with our Jordan tour & with Travel Talk, we would definitely consider them for future tours.

I was recently on the Essential Jordan tour which was brilliant. Our guide Issa was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great fun. He was always up front and honest about restaurant recommendations and different features of the places we were staying, for example telling us in advance that if local salespeople in Petra requested he ask us if we would like to buy anything, he would do so. He went over and above his responsibly as a tour guide in my opinion, for example dropping me off at a hospital to visit a friend, and bringing us cakes to celebrate one of our group member’s birthday. The transport and accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the tour was well organised. The attractions were really enjoyable and Issa’s talks really enhanced the experience! Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea were real highlights. Thoroughly enjoyed my week in Jordan!
