Today we will make tracks for our campsite in Wadi Rum Desert. Enjoy free time to explore and relax or join an optional camel trek through the otherworldly desert landscapes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Jordanian dinner under the stars. Followed by music and dance around the campfire as we get to know the locals of Wadi Rum!

Set your alarms for 7.30am and fill up on plenty of breakfast before a big day exploring Egypt’s iconic Ancient Wonder of the World – the Pyramids and Sphinx! Follow your guide for a tour across the ancient site to learn about the 4,600-year-old wonders. The journey continues with one of the most important museums dedicated to the ancient world – Egyptian Museum of Cairo. Home to over 120,000 ancient Egyptian relics and antiquities, this place will leave you in awe! After everyone has had their dose of awe, we’ll head back to our hotel for overnight stay.
We start the day with a flight to Aswan where we will have a city tour with our local guide. Visit the Unfinished Obelisk for a look into the incredible building methods used to create the four-sided, hallmark monuments that are placed at the entrances of Egyptian temples. Take some time to walk along the 42-metre long lying bed of granite and learn about its significance from your guide. Visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, divine mother of the pharaohs. The temple is set beautifully on an island in the middle of the Nile. We will then arrive at the hotel for check-in and then have the option to join a traditional Nubian dinner in the evening.
At 04:45 in the morning, we depart for the optional trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Abu Simbel. It is a must-do for all keen historians! Then we will hop on board the traditional Felucca sailboat and embark on our 2-night cruise down the Nile River. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore Aswan and the banks of the Nile River at your own pace.
Today is a chill-day sailing down the Nile, watching beautiful scenery and waving to the locals and fishermen. Whilst absorbing the stunning temples along the coast, sit back and enjoy the relaxing breeze. Have a dip in the Nile, play volleyball with the local kids and prepare for a local feast on the riverbanks as you watch the sunset with a cold drink in hand.
Time to bid farewell to our lovely felucca as we hop back onboard the coach and drive north towards Kom Ombo. Visit the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Next stop will be Edfu, home to one of the largest and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, the temple was built over 180-years from 237 BC to 57 BC. We’ll arrive in Luxor in the late afternoon, before checking out the Luxor Temple in the evening. Explore the dim-light temple after dark and learn from your guide of the temple complexes ancient history, dating back to the 14th century B.C. Not to forget, a visit to the vast Karnak Temple Complex, one of the most important religious centers of ancient Egypt with its marvelous temples. Today our Dahab experience starts with an optional snorkeling trip to the famous Blue Hole. Here you can snorkel off the shore, swim along colorful fish and experience the beauty of the coral reefs. Dahab is renowned for being one of the best diving destinations in the region, offering an unforgettable experience to divers of all levels. Following your return, why not try out camel trekking or water sports.
Another day to relax under the sun and cool in the sea. Alternatively you can browse the bazaars and markets to practice your bartering skills and collect the best souvenirs. In the evening, you can join the optional Mountain Dinner.

Naturally to be followed by a camp fire in the desert, singing and sharing stories – scary or not – and bonding with your travel mates. Hope for a clear sky and a stunning starry sky at our desert camp.
The experience of a lifetime awaits. Next up will be the magnificent world-famous Petra, the greatest attraction in the Middle East and a full day of exploration. Your local guide will provide a brief history of the ancient city and show you the ins and outs. The massive underground city is carved into a huge rose-coloured rock, make sure to have your cameras at the ready! You’ll also get a chance to discover the Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal arch and the Amphitheatre along the way. Remain in Petra overnight as none can have enough of it.

The massive underground city is carved into a huge rose-coloured rock, make sure to have your cameras at the ready! You’ll also get a chance to discover the Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal arch and the Amphitheatre along the way. Remain in Petra overnight as none can have enough of it.
A day is never enough for the vastness of Petra. The tour of the ‘Red Rose City’ continues before we drive to Shobak castle. The journey continues to the lowest point of dry land on earth. The Dead Sea, also known as ‘Sea of Salt’, is hundreds of metres below sea level, hence the famous incredibly salty water that floats you almost above waist. Enjoy the warm sun, cleansing mud baths and the most original swimming experience ever. Then continue to Amman where we stay overnight.
Time to discover the vibrant Jordanian capital of Amman. Embark on a city tour of beautiful sites and highlights including the Citadel and the Amphitheatre, and discover the impressive history of Jordan. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the town on your own terms and listen to prayers as you watch the sun set.
After breakfast, transfer to Amman airport for your flight to Cairo. In the evening, feel free to discover Cairo on your own terms and compare the local Egyptian cuisine with Jordan!
Prepare your lenses for the breath-taking, world-famous Pyramids and the Sphinx. Face all their 4,600-year glory and embrace the only remaining Ancient Wonder of the World. After everyone had their dose of awe, we head out to Sakkara for sightseeing. The first capital of ancient Egypt is famous for the step pyramid built in 2700 B.C. Later in the afternoon, board the bus to Luxor and check into our premium hotel by the Nile.
The West Bank of the Nile awaits with the incredible Valley of the Kings. Also known as “City of the Dead”, it’s home to fancy royal tombs carved into desert rocks and filled with treasures for the Pharaoh afterlife. As you’d expect, here lied the famous mummy of Tutankhamun III. Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is the next stop. As you try to break the spell of ancient wonders, drive to Aswan for overnight stay.
Time to explore Aswan, famed for its skilled artisans and the Unfinished Obelisk. Take a short motorboat ride to reach the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, divine mother of the pharaohs. The temple is set beautifully on an island in the middle of the Nile. Early in the morning you can join the optional trip to the gorgeous Abu Simbel, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a must-do for all keen on history and mythology. Later in the afternoon, embark your felucca to cruise on the Nile.
Today is a chill-day sailing down the Nile, watching beautiful scenery and waving to the locals swimming and fishing. Whilst absorbing the stunning temples along the coast, sit back and enjoy the relaxing breeze. Have a dip in the Nile, play beach-ball with locals and prepare for a locally-prepared feast.
Time to bid farewell to our lovely felucca. Start off the day with a visit to the Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Next stop will be Edfu, home to one of the largest and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, the temple was built over 180-years from 237 BC to 57 BC. As you get your dose of marvel, ride to Luxor and check into the hotel. After a refreshing break, brace for the Luxor Temple, dedicated to the great god Amun. The temple was built on top of a smaller structure dating back to 14th century BC!
After breakfast, depart for the vast Karnak Temple Complex, one of the most important religious centres of ancient Egypt with its marvellous temples. Your Egyptologist guide will enlighten you with the most intriguing stories and mythologies fuelling such creations for millennia. In the afternoon drive to Aswan for overnight stay.
The journey continues with one of the most important museums dedicated to the ancient world. Egyptian Museum of Cairo houses around 120,000 ancient Egyptian relics and antiquities. Then roam around Cairo stopping by the Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Mohammed Ali, the Hanging Church and the world-famous Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Make sure to wear your haggling hats and brace for the mayhem!
Following an early breakfast, head out to the Red Sea paradise of Dahab. Pack your swimsuit close and ready for a dip in the sea. You’ll get plenty of swimming, snorkeling, diving and sunbathing. The perfect way to relax after a week of cultural discovery.
Today our Dahab experience starts with an optional snorkeling trip to the famous Blue Hole. Here you can snorkel off the shore, swim along colourful fish and experience the beauty of the coral reefs. Dahab is renowned for being one of the best diving destinations in the region, offering an unforgettable experience to divers of all levels. Depart for St. Catherine in the evening. Late at night (about 1:30 a.m. on Day 11) start the ascend to Mt. Sinai, where you’ll witness the spectacular sunrise which blankets the surrounding peaks in gold, unveiling one of the best views in Egypt.
Start off the day with a visit to the beautiful St. Catherine Monastery before you drive back to Dahab. Free time to rest up and recharge after the hike. Get to improve your waterskiing or wake boarding skills and ride the waves to cool off.
Have your final breakfast on us and start bidding farewells to your travel mates. Drive to Sharm El-Sheikh airport and fly to Cairo airport, where your tour ends. Time to start counting days for your next adventure with Travel Talk!

This was my first experience using Travel Talk Tours and I will definitely be booking again. I booked the Fantastic Egypt & Jordan tour and I definitely think this is the way to go. This tour offered me an extra day in Jordan to explore Jerresh City and an extra day in Dahab that allowed me to hike Mt Sinai. The guides on this trip were approachable, charming, and all around fantastic. Shout out to Issa, Adham, and Roshy for being amazing and honest guides. I cannot say enough good things about them.
There are two things to note, because of the group size you will end up eating at a lot of buffets. This doesn’t mean you can’t go off on your own but you may be restricted by time. Secondly, the budget for the Egyptian extras is pretty outdated. We were told on the first day that the entrance fees for temples, tombs, etc will be 1625 L.E. There is an optional tipping kitty of $30 US, and other various optional activities from $30-$100 US. Oh! And I was very excited to experience hot air ballooning in Luxor. Turns out it’s rare to actually do this in the summer. Which makes sense, because it’s too hot which doesn’t allow the balloons to get off the ground.
Overall, I had an amazing and memorable experience. I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time, lead by experienced and friendly Travel Talk personnel.
