Ait Ben Haddou

When it was built as a caravanserai for the trans-Sahara, there was no telling that Ait Ben Haddou would become the center of Moroccan travel. With complete defensive walls, a mosque, and a kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou is an impeccable example of a ksar (a fortified village).
